Assasination is not always direct fighting.
It could be done with poison, a knife in the back, a snake in your bed, the list is endless.
But we can be pretty certain that Ursa did something that lead to Azulons death, to save Zuko from his father.
She was banished, of course, due to her "evil" deeds.
She has, most likely, gone into hiding with the help of the secretive and elusive Order of the White Lotus, but where, no one knows.

i like your theory on ursa just let me add that she did something evil so azula did not inherited her evil ways from just her father side of family has most people believe, ursa was indeed one of those women who are a snake under the grass.

Yes, it is possible to do evil for a good cause.
Unfourtunantly, Azula got the evil, but not the good cause.

she did something evil to protect zuko, how can that be evil xD yes,of course it has something evil on it. she might found a little orgisination with someothers, wich groes bigger and bigger... and then this not any more little orginisation wil help aang to defeat the firelord/or her husband. but would she really kill her husband?

I think that Ursa killed Azulon, possibly through poison, possibly through some other means....we all know why she did it. To save her young son, her pride and joy, from his own father. She didn't know that Ozai would turn on Zuko yet again, and was only trying to protect him. It was wrong, but for the right reasons....then again, something evil done for the right reasons is still evil, just as something good done for the wrong reasons is still good.
