Just in case you saw our game going on and didn't understand at all, i'll lay down a breif explanation of the game.
It starts of, with the game master, (that's me) sets up a story for the players (that's you) I might start you off chasing something like in last game. I could also start you in a war, a dungeon, a dessert, or wherever i need you to begin the quest. After making your desicon on what to do, (Example: I attack the creature, i examine the creature, I say something, i run away, ext...) I give you the result of the action. That's basicaly it.
Now here are the helpful hints.
1.Role play- After all it is a rpg which stands for ROLE PLAYING GAME. It's a whole lot funner when you give your character a personality. Perhaps they have a relationship with another character, or are a smart alleck, or have an obsesion with something, or anything else. Anything to give them life so it's not just. I ask a question, i attack, or i examine the entire game. You can flirt cook, complain(in the game world ofcoarse), crack a joke, even play confused even if your not just to spark the others ideas.
2.Combat- We all know the game's no fun whith out adding a brwl or two. The party can fight anything from wolves to firebenders, to demons. However ther are some differences in this game. For example, stabing with a sword does more then hitting with a stick. In this game wounds are realistic. Your character might break a bone, or bleed. You might need a medic (which is why shamen and waterbenders come in handy.) I also add style points if you do something cool, smart, or funny. Like kicking a tree to make it fall on an enemy, or setting traps. These attack will not only do more damage but i'll also give you karma points for them (If that dosen't go against admin's rule that is)
3.Suggest-Remember, the game is for the players. If you think something's unfair, or could be done better, just pm me and i'll see what i can do.
