I remember this series started off as a way of exprssing anger at Katara... lol. Then, to show Tophs awesomness... then... well, it became a whole thing... with a sequel, and everything.

and yet Kai was sitll totally awesome.
but yeah, originally, I had no intention of ever developing Sanaki's waterbender... she was always just meant to be in the background...
than I figured that'd make an awesome and unique personality, and so Kai Serenes developed.
and, to my pleasure, she's still the person who helps in the background and is often overlooked--the kind of person who deserves much more priase and recognition than they get...
