it is quite the bond.
Even in "Mysteries II" (tentative title; I don't want to spoil it) when Sanaki is 32 and Kai is 55, the bond still goes strong.

Sanaki: indeed. well, don't look down below this post unless you want to see a bunch of spoilers for Mysteries II...
well, 55-year-old Kai is still as shy and quiet as 36-year-old Kai.
32-year-old Sanaki is a little less prone to emotional breakdowns like 13-year-old Sanaki, but is otherwise, nearly unchanged.
31-year-old Toph is just like 12-year-old Toph, with one slight difference
34-year-old Sokka has married, unlike 15-year-old Sokka
33-year-old Katara has already become widowed, which means that someone important (most likely Aang or Zuko) does in fact die.
I assume Ty Lee is 14 in the show, so that means she is also 33. 33-year-old Ty Lee is still a happt go-lucky circus freak, but something else has changed, and there's something about her that was probably unexpected.
Oh, and 66-year-old Iroh appears as 85-year-old Iroh.

Woah, old Iroh... Well, old er Iroh... I obviously expected Sanaki to get a little less... How to put it... High strung and crazy  And, of course, Sokka married. I'm trying to imagine a wedding, but all I'm coming up with is bad Sokka style jokes... |

I think 32-year-old Sanaki will still be sensitive though for some reason.
Of course, she'll also spazz out without warning. that's a new feature...
I would say who KAtara married, but if I did that, you'd also know who died (I said she was widowed)

there's also Ozai, Zuko, Azula, Ty Lee, Mai, and any other minor character that might appear out of nowhere and die lol.
Oh, and in case jsutafan ever sees this, be sure to let him know that no, I have absolutely no intention of making Dre Yu die.
