(the only "serenity" you'll find in my fic is Lehran and Altina, and even they seem a little less serene than Kai was ['coz that would be a near-impossible feat] and then some like Meili and Zakura, are insanely awesome. I guarentee Zakura's gonna take a liking for Meili once they meet)

(that helps even more so. but yeah, Meili's rebellious attitude helps a lot in that aspect as well.

incidentally, the only way Meili "rebels" against her parents is that she usually doesn't tell them what sorts of things she does... other than that, she's got a certain unique respect for them that no other person gets from her)

(yeah... there's actually a lot of young-age benders in the story, as they kinda get singled out by both sides. after all, if they're that good when they're young, they will be even better when they're older... [The Four Benders were all masters at about age 10, hence the reason they've had time to become the greatest in the world])
