I can't draw to save my life.
I can, however, take a picture, draw over it, and make huge modifications to it to get what I want. the pictures of Tera and Sanaki in my sig were done that way. (click the link at the bottom if you want to find out who Sanaki is)

It's coming along really good, I just can't get the facial expression right. The squinty eyes and all the wrinkles, I keep making Aang look tired and evil... maybe after I add the eyebrows, if I don't succeed tonight I'll try again in the morning.

yeah you scan it. and if you've seen my first avatar picture (aang) you know it sucks too. i'm really not an amazing artist, but i just do it cuzz i like it. so i wont expect the eyes to suck. for me, eyes are the hardest part... oh and making the feature proportional. still cant get that right.
