Yeah, I know what my RPG/fanfic character looks like, but I suck at drawing... And no pic looks enough like him to even edit properly!

that's usually what I have trobule with, so I find a pic that's dressed similar to Sanaki/Kai, etc and use it.
On that note, I'm gonna put up a pic of Zuki when I get around tio it...

Cool, a Zuki pic.
Now, to answer your question, he wears a long, dark (very dark) brown coat. Down to ankle length, I'd say... It has gold buttons, but after all this time, they are more of a light brown colour. He never wears it done up, prefering it unbuttoned.
His pants are green. Dark green, though nowhere near as dark as his coat.
He wears a lighter green for his shirt, which can just be seen past his large coat.
He has a strap across his chest to hold the sheath on his back. His sword is, of course, a very important part of him.
He wears brown shoes, though not while in combat.
Sometimes you can see a hint of a gold chain around his neck, or in his pocket...
His hairstyle is... matted, I think suits the best. No real style, it just sits where it falls.
In this pic, if it is made, he obviously won't be smiling, as he... doesn't do that.
Oh, and just a reminder, he does have that distinctive scar over his eye and down his cheek. Made by his own sword, if you'll remember...

ah yes.
so... it sounds like the coat he wears in reminiscent of a trenchcoat... right?
hmmm...
if you can find me a pciture of his clothes, I might be able to pull it off.
I'm pretty good at making faces, and hair is the one thing I can skillfully draw from scratch.
