It was actually because she can heal herself... He liked how he could, say, rip of her limbs, and she could just bring them back in an instant. He's funny that way...
But he never actually hurt her.
(O.K., he scratched her face once...)

First, he's already dead, so killing him, not going to happen.
Second, Tera usually invites him to do things like that, as she can't feel pain.
