Chances are that the writers know that they will lose some of their fanbase if they don't balance their Zutara and Kataang. I'm am not one of these people, I will love Avatar no matter what, but there are people who would stop watching without either Zutara or Kataang interation. I think they're going to add some Zutara for that reason and for plot reasons. (I'm not a betting person, this is just my opinion.)

I picked Zutara because of personal preference. I prefer the pairing for reasons I have stated in other thread and am too lazy to go over at the moment.

So I've heard. I still prefer Zutara, and the almost probably means that there will be more (stronger) evidence of Zutara and it will become canon or close to it.

Please don't call me in denial though. I admit that Kataang is possible (even certain if the spoilers are right), I just choose to support Zutara.

Then those whom are watching only for pairings just really didn't like avatar I guess. It's not proper to watch a whole 50 episode without getting attracted to something else other then the pairings. If Zutara happens, I will stop my arguing and denial. But if it doesn't happen, woot.

Kelly, is that spoiler confirmed by a canonical source?

I don't watch only for the pairings, I didn't even have a fave pairing until I started going to the Avatar section of fanfiction.net during the summer when I was bored. (I think that biased me because, most, but not all, of the Kataang fics were written without concern for grammar, spelling, and sometimes realistic-ness. To me it just seemed like the Zutara writers were more mature in their writing style. No offense to anyone, these are just my observations.) Anyhoo, it's sad that some people would stop watching a show for that, but I think it would happen. I mean, it's sad that in one of the debates about Kataang and Zutara, someone said they would commit suicide if Zutara happened. Those people do exist, even if I am ashamed of them.

I avoided and avoided, but I no longer can... this is a definite debate. I will start with my reasoning that I'm not afarid to repaet word for word (some of you may have read this already)


I'm a Zutara fan myself.
It's akward for me to think that a 14-15 year old girl would even want to hook up with a 12 (112)- 13 (113) year old boy.
C'mon, how many girls that age don't go for the hott older guy?

I could intemperate the nooby fics one offensive way to Zutara, but I don't want to make enemies. There are probably as much good Zutara fics as there is Kataang, but Kataang is drowned with noob fics.They are there, finding them is hard in the junk, but it is still there.

It's probable that there are more of the grammatically immature fics simply because it's more popular so there's more of a chance that those without very good grammar are more likely to like Kataang. Again, I'm not saying that all Kataang fics are poor or immature, I'm just saying that in the limited time that I took the time to look at and/or read them, I experienced a lot of that quality.


It just seemed a little rude to go copying that from me. The entire reason I did that was because it was unique and no one else would have something like that. I guess that just means I'm a fabulous trend-setter. ;D As a note, hiphoplovr4eva, I'm not mad at you. I wish you would have asked me, or PMed me, or something, before just copying it. I'm a nice girl. I probably would have said yes.

What is frustarting is seeing that Kataangers focus on Aang's feelings. What of Katara's? She has shown nothing more than the "I think of you as a friend". I admit, I started on Zutara for the romantic aspect, but also for the fact that Kataang seems one-sided. Even in DotBS she didn't show any romanticism towards Aang. To make things clear for Kataangers, he kissed her. Yes, we Zutarians do see what we want in something that may not have materialized yet, but Kataangers focus on what they want to see in a one-sided relationship. Yes, Aang likes Katara, but there's no proof of love, especially on Katara's side. She's had feelings for Jet and Haru (both older males), but thinks of Aang as a friend. I can see her looking at Zuko in the "more than a friend" kind of way.
