I personally love Toph and Sokka, I love that he seems to really care about her, with out him ever actually stating it. I also love that he seems completely oblivious to her feelings and what is going on.

But I also see the appeal of Suki and Sokka, On Day of Black Sun after what Azula said and Sokka's eyes teared up, then ran after Azula. It almost made me cry (Oh so pathetic) to see how upset he was and how much he cares for her.

I guess I am leaning more toward Toph and Sokka, but I still appreciate Sokka and Suki's relationship.

This is a weird comparison but the Toph-Sokka relationship reminds me of the Helga-Arnold relationship from Hey Arnold.

Helga secretly loves Arnold but is to afraid to say it, so she covers it up by being mean, playing jokes, and acts like she doesn't care.

And Arnold, for the longest time, was completely oblivious to it all as well.

Anyway, just thought I'd put that thought out.

And remember, eventually Helga cracked and finally told Arnold how she felt

I never even thought about that, but you are right. They are rather similar to Helga and Arnold. Toph is always making jokes about Sokka.
Huh, that is kind of funny, that thought never crossed my mind. But now that I am thinking about it, I can really see the similarities.
But the big difference is that Sokka shows that he cares for Toph in his own subtle way. Like when her feet were burnt by Zuko, he was the one that picked her up and carried her off. <3
I don't think that ever happened with Helga and Arnold. He never showed that he ever cared about her...... did he?

That scene in Sokka's Master is, by far, the #1 Tokka moment thus far. But we're still waiting for the best to come (look at my avatar )
