in the case of Kai II and Zakura there is a logical explanation....
and of course, I hate bad fanfiction (trust me, I've read some terrible crap. I can show you a site where they parody crap like that, but I don't think you want to go blind from reading such dreadful garbage...) so anytime there is something unusual (like Sanaki becoming Fire Lady... or how she got her skillz... or Zutara... or Tokka... or the supernaturals) I make sure I explain it well. ~Iroh~

I think most things in my series are explained... of course, some things aren't fully explained, either 'cos they dont need to be, or they will be...

that's how mine are... of course, I'm a detail freak, so I usually end up explaning everything, unless it is COMPLETELY irrelevant.

Well, certain things, if explianed, just make the story seem too informed... obviously, you'll get to know what the character knows, but if they dont know something, and the reader doesn't need to, I wont bother, as it could actually make the story less realistic.
I mean, in real life you dont get too much detail, so that helps make it more real...

true...
of course, in mine, you get to know sometimes what the antagonists are thinking because sometimes the story switches to their point of view for a brief time... I mean, they never just straight up say their master plan of doom =3, they usually just drop hints of it, since they're not gonna rehash the entire thing, 'coz they already know it.
usually when I switch views like that though, it's usually just their feelings on certain things that have already happened.

Well, my story is told from one point of view for the whole thing, so I have no problem with that...

makes sense... but yeah, unlike my fanfics, this is written in 3rd-person, so switching views is really easy. ~Iroh~

same here. I don;t know why I wrote my fanfics in first person, but it fits nicely. ~Katara~
