yeah...
and if they are glorified a lot, make sure that the villains get some glory too... and some of the other characters...
that way everyone wins, and there's no invincible champion.

Exactly.
My story doesn't have a singular villian, because it's less of a single story about one event/enemy, it's just his life... the good parts, anyway.

mine is a little more intriguing/mysterious...
I mean, you know who the villain is, but there's a lot of questions unanswered...
of course, even after it ends, there will still be unanswered questions...
which is why a "6 years later" (13 years previous) will be in order.

ah, I kinda noticed the timeskips and whatnot.
mine's all sequential...
of course, it has flashbacks where necessary... otherwise some people might think Kai II naturally was a waterbending master (they'd be all "ZOMG MARY SUE!!!111") Zuko died of unknown casuses via Tera, and other such things...

ah...
for me, I just need to figure out what's gonna happen next...
I mean, the trip to the westarn air temple is gonna seem like a waste of time after Ty Lee shows her true colors, but they'll find "the way" from somewhere around there...
I think a lot of it will be how Sanaki rose to power... it would remove a lot of her Mary Sue-ness...
