Sorry for getting so butthurt about it but really I get so annoyed when people go offtopic all the flippin time in every thread. which is a form of Trolling on forums. And no one likes a troll..not even the troll likes him/herself.

Also why would you talk about me in my own thread? If you got something to say to me say it in a pm or when i'm currently posting...I usually don't even start the fights...people start them with me and unlike you 2 I have self esteem and not a carebear. So I back myself up.

I'm actually a cool guy once you get to know me and I do forgive people. If you have SUCH a big problem with it then ignore them. And i'm not in a happy mood atm so don't even try. And think before you talk about me on my own thread. That's your #1 stupidity mistake of the day.

I highly doubt what I do and say on this forum will affect me in a job interview let alone the rest of my life. And who are you to call me a troll just for having a habit of going off-topic? Saying that that's a form of trolling is simply your own opinion, which I really don't give a rat's ass about. And if you think that I do, then think again.

And you need more than self-esteem in this world Daxx. Self-control is on that list as well. Sometimes it's simply better, and it can say everyone a lot of time, to just make peace and move on. That doesn't mean I don't back myself up, it means that I have more sense than to argue with every blowhard who disagrees with me or thinks I should be different.

And talking about you in your own thread isn't a stupidity mistake if my intention was for you to hear it. So I'm glad you got my message lol

The Ember Island Forum is the "off-topic" forum, so in essence, everything here is an "off-topic" thread.

I mean, this is an avatar forum, and granted, very little here is avatar-related.

The thing that really gets me mad is when people are angry and take it out on the forum.
If you're angry, then step away from the computer, take a deep breath, hit something, and then relax for a while.

and no, going off topic is not trolling. Trolling is posting crap to try and stir things up, so you might say that Roy is a chat troll. they do it for attention.

In real life, when someone starts a conversation with another, they don't remain on that subject the whole time. For example, say person A and person B have a chat about dogs. then person A talks about her pet dog for a while. Then, person B, who happens to have a cat but not a dog, starts talking about his pet cat. ZOMG!!! the subject changed! and yet, the world still goes on.

so, what the hell do cats and dogs have to do with this? basically, what it means is that usually someone brings up something that can lead another person to divert off topic. with Christina as an obvious exception, the people who branch off topic usually relate to something that was in the previous person's post.

for example, let's take a hypothetical situation in the "pictures" thread.
person 1: and now I'm off to college, so that means I won't be able to gat anymore pics, 'coz I don't have a camera.
person 2: (don't want to give a name) my college started 2 weeks ago... blah blah blah etc etc tec.

person 2 went off topic because of something person 1 said. however, person 2's post was relevant to the conversation at hand. also, person 1 was still on topic, but that's beside the point.

if that had happened in real life, was someone gonna come in and say "shut up about college. go back to talking about pictures!"

now granted, I know a forum works differently than real life. however, on an "off-topic" forum, it's kinda hard not to...

I mean, for the most part, the avatar part of the forum seems to remain relevant, because this is an avatar forum.

(and if going off-topic has to be classified as anything, I'd call it spam, but on this site, no one cares. that's why we don't haev angry staff members on our butts)

Tokka, don't be offended by what people say about you. this is the internet. none of us know each other personally (actually, I was once a memeber of a site where I knew one of the other admins in person, but that's beside the point)
Daxx, don't get offended jsut because people go off-topic. it's human nature, and it's also te nature of the members of this forum.'
