Bloodbending totally anhilates lightning. You have to move your hands weith lightning ending and they couldn't that if you can't move period.

Well, if it did come down to a fight, the waterbender would have to have slow reflexes (something that has never appeared in the show) to not be able to stop the Firebender from making the lightning. It usually takes a little time to seperate the energies (not long but some time) and the Bloodbender could stop them before they shot it off. As for overall usefulness as a technique, Lightning is definitely better, but when it comes down to a fight that happens on a full moon (why a firebender would fight a waterbender then I don't know) then the bloodbender would win. On a full moon I doubt a waterbender would need bloodbending anyway to take down a firebender  |

But lighting bending can be used from a distance, so if the water bender doesn't see it coming then of course the fire bender would win, but how would a blood bender kill the fire bender, without using other form of water bending, the only way i can think of is they repeatably smash them on the ground or something like that, does the "average" blood bender be able to concentrate enough to do that, idk

well, you can't really say anything about that. i haven't ever seen any firebenders bend lightening at night, or during a total solar eclipse. you forgot azoula or something at the boat she trained her lighteng and the 2 granny's said almost perfect? and i think you have 2 reach the lvl the lvl that when you are in full moon (like katara was) you can bloodbending... ofc you would be onstoppble when the moon come then... watch all episodes again  Yeah, I probably didn't understand what I quoted, but I'll try... You can bend lightning freely at night time just as good as day time, but you cannot bend lightning during a solar eclipse. I just voted for that "they are both unique skills." Both are deadly and lethal to use. A fight between a lightning bender and a blood bender could go either way, but when the full moon isn't out, then the water bender will probably have something to worry about...  |

I say that lighting would destroy a bloodbender just because u need to be under the full moon to be powerful enough to waterbend like that

obviously bllodbending is better... if a lightning bolt was gonna be shot from a firebender then a blood bender wud just bend their hand into thier heart andkill them !!! and you dnt kno you need the moon and besides the moon never disappears so they can do it all the time  |

yeah they are both special, but bloodbending has a disadvantage, what if it's not full moon, you can use lightbending anytime
I still prefer bloodbending
