pretty much.
I mean, they get visitors and they travel a lot, but the only permanent residents are part of that family (yeah they travel. there's no incest or anything xP)

the name "Serenes" is a play off of the word "serene" (it means quiet, calm, peaceful, something like that)
"Serenes" is not pronounced sir-EENZ like it sounds, but rather sir-ENN-ess.
