I can sometimes draw a wicked straight line using a ruler.

Eh, my ruler doesn't draw in a straight line, it always goes wavy.
I just realised how much I suck at drawing...

As for Sanaki, she loves competition. That's why she would have Agni Kai fights to make a living. She still has a 38-0 win-loss record in her area of the Fire Nation.
