in today's culture, it would have been much more fitting to have the male figure be the one who needs to take better care of themself, and the female figure being the one to nag and make sure that they ARE taking better care of themselves...
how ironic. oh wellz.
but yeah, Malak and Maric both have had issues with self-care before.

not really 'naggers' as much as 'concerned'.
but yeah, Malak might need to work on her hygiene a little, especially compared to Reyson... (Reyson's a fire nation prince. Malak is just a water tribe pea... oh, Bloody Mary... this is the same outline that Zutara has. *facepalm*)
that aside, ya, Maric and Malak aren't the most hygienic people out there.

well, in my world Zutara > everything, so that should mean that they WILL work...
but yeah, being a prince and all, he was always concerned about his appearance/cleanliness/etc.
Malak on the other hand, probably couldn't care less about her hygiene. =3

true...
but ya, Malak is not necessarily 'gross', but she's fine with being a little dirty.
I mean, she and Maric boarded the ship with pretty much nothing but the clothes on their backs...
and yes, there will be some ownage from the twins to show just exactly how good their bending skills are.
I mean, they've been said to be good, but just how good is still to be determined...

the first part means their fight will be awesome
second part, basically, when girls get dirty, peole think they do whatever to get clean b/c they don't want to look bad. I'm just saying I like it when a girl doesn't mind getting dirty b/c it beats the stereotype

that's what I thought. just double-checking.
and yeah, I feel the same way, and a lot of the female characters from my story show evidence of that, such as Meili, Tenoko, Sanaki, Malak, Zakura, and even Taki.
of course, though Taki doesn't mind getting dirty, when she wants to "dress to impress" (AKA "dress to impress Cheng") she is real careful.
but yeah... Malak I believe, actually gets to the point where Zeruda threatens to throw her out if she doesn't clean up. being known for her sense of independence, Malak, like Alzar, is the type who is prone to getting into a fight.
