yeah. there's actually a story somewhere (different seri4es, sortta a weird paradox the more I think of it) about how this Katara behaved.

it is...
I mean, she's had a really hard life...
and probably the worst part about it was the loss of her father. Katara was and still is a daddy's girl.

Sokka, her older brother (these two are based off of the kids from my old fanfic... sorta some weird paradox, but yeah, Sokka and Katara again) was more attached to his mom.
I'd use the term "momma's boy" but that makes him sound like a sissy.
he's tough, make no mistake.
but yeah, Sokka had the bond with their mother that Katara had with their father.

incidentally, though I don't think I mention his name, I do believe that in the fic Katara's father's name is still Zuko, named after the prince from long ago...

but yeah, Sokka's obviously not afraid to be away from his mom, he jsut has that bond with her, maybe because of their affinitive element.
