incidentally, airbenders have a distinct advantage. they aren't seen in combat very often, and so there are not very many people who know how to counter their fighting styles.
and they often get underestimated, and most people would not take an airbender womanvery seriously.
not a very smart thing.

ironically, I've sort of portrayed the Kyoshi Warriors of my story as not very smart, but as real wicked fighters.
it sort of holds true though.. I mean, Taki's not a genius. when she's fighting, pretty much the only thing she cares about his how many people she can kill and how much blood she can spill. (and outside of battle she just wants to be with "Cheng-Cheng")
but yeah, the Kyoshi Warriors are actually one of my favorite elements of my story...
they're like a bunch of elite fighters... if they were smarter (good ones and evil ones alike) they'd be perfect.
