This sounds EXACTLY liek something i would drop in there:
Granted, Shinon, Aiku, and Zinjamyn had done this with each other before, but only because these four (the three and Alzar) were practically siblings. To see one of them putting an arm around another was like a brotherly relationship, and nothing more.

Ryuka said nothing, but merely nodded. Alzar stepped out, her job done. She returned to the lounge, where Katara I was. She was still surprised that they had found Young Katara’s Mother.
Now, if we're saying Altzar is blind, wouldn't she wait for a vocal response? And, if your going to say she could sense it, then why didn't she sense Katara I?

I didn't say Alzar sensed her, I just said that Katara I was in the room.

I know, so if Altzar can't sense, why did she walk out of the room without waiting for confirmation. Yes he nodded, but she couldn't have known.

Altzar was trying to get a point across to ryuka. You wrote that he listened to her, then did nothing but nod. If Altzar was determined to get her point across to him, she would not have left without him doing something to confirm he at least heard her, which he did in nodding. Altzar couldn't have known he nodded though, because she's blind, throwing the whole scene off

Alzar "sees" with heat. Ryuka's body is warmer than his surroundings, and so Alzar was therefore able to feel the heat from Ryuka's face as it went up and down [AKA nodded]

But, then, back to my original point, if she felt him nod, she MUST have felt Katara I right in front of her, for if her body temperature was the same as her surrounding she would be not alive [AKA dead]

that's true...

but there are times when people who can see run into each other... and I'm sure that they don't do it on purpose.

but yeah, Alzar's sense is something that she uses when she wants to. she doesn't use it all the time. [so sort of like a sense of smell. always there, but you only use it when you want to]
