IGN.com has a new article on the Live action Avatar movie movies.ign.com/articles/937/937344p1.htmlIt talks about how Shyamalan has reportedly assembled his cast for The Last Airbender, Entertainment Weekly reports that Shyamalan discovered karate star Noah Ringer and offered him the part of the 12 year old hero, Aang. Also EW claims that Jackson Rathbone is in the running to play Sokka and Nicola Peltz will play Katara. Jesse McCartney has also been reportedly offered the role of Zuko. so... thoughts? discussion? other stuff that will most likely give Tera a headache? meh, have fun with this. ~Azula~ |

dudee i was just thinking shia la beouf (sp?) for sokka.

the only thing i figure is zuko is kinda scornful in the beginning, and well, i just dont see him being totally like the character we have known to love lol

well the guys they have for aang and sokka look okay for the roles but i dont like the katara and what happened to "Aang" in The Ember Island Players(you know with him being a woman and all) is going to happen to Zuko in the movies. (thats right. i hope they find someone else to play zuko, nothing wrong with jesse mccartney (personally, i don't care for him either way) but i can't see him playing zuko.

If you think the cast is not perfect wait until the introduce toph and azula, i can only hope they do justice to two of the best characters in avatar and also think about iroh, if greg baldwin would play him or someone a little older then it might do well but i don't know what he looks like so i can't judge

And does anyone know what Noah Ringer looks like? Jesus, this movie will be a disaster. I thought that the second I heard about it. Can't we just get a good 4th season?

Nope. Noah Ringer has no acting experience(wonderfull) and no fame therefore he isnt on google. he was chosen for his martial arts ability
the only person i realy am happy with is the guy they have for Sokka

yeah. just look at some of the book to movie films, and take book and replace it with tv show. If they do twice as good a job as they did with the Eragon movie, things arnt looking too good.
i look foward to it anyway.

When I saw that Jesse Mccartny was to play Zuko, I took the white board I was using to count down how many days till the first AtLA live action movie off the wall and threw it on the floor.
What was M. Night thinking?! He can't play Zuko.

wonder who will play Iroh, Toph and Azula, since they're the coolest characters in the show.
as for the reactions about the cast, it's a worldwide hatred thing going on... not good, not good...
