Bending or Not to bend

I think I know which way this oll will go but think about it first before answering. being a non-bender will allow one to strengthen their mind and their body.

You can do great things in the avatar world even if you don't have bending powers. Just look at all the non-benders in the show, like Sokka, Jet, Ty Lee, Suki, etc.
And bending or not, you'll still be the same person mentally, thus I see no problem in strengthening your mind and spirit.
Bending is fun and all, and I'd love to bend earth, but you can make a difference without the powers. In each nation's army, non-benders and benders are both used sufficiently.

I'm also reminded that in the x-men world, there is much conflict with the mutants and the regular humans. Unlike that world, in the ATLA world, benders and non-benders seem to be equal with each other and live in peace.

that is a real good point......i know this is a little flakey after saying good point, but i would still prefer to be a bender

i'd want to be a bender just because it would be awesome, but i wouldnt like.. hate my life if i was a nonbender. shooting out knives or blocking chi like ty lee and mai (but without the depression) would be cool

With a good timetable, and time management skills, you could be a Bender, with all those special "Non-Bender" skills.

I'd be a bender, because you can still use normal weapons and bend at same time, or create an Air Sword and rule all!
