Aang was born in the southern air Temple i believe. He was taught in groups about how to air bend, which is smart and cuts down on the kids needing to learn. Then when they get to a certain level of air bending, the groups break and the kids pick separate masters, like Aang chose monk Giuatsu. (Sorry, i forgot how to spell his name.) Before hey chose masters though, they travel to ether the western air temple or the eastern, mostly because the places had enough space to raise bison. The four bending nations had only one person who could bend. Then they reproduced half an entire nation. The air nomads stayed away from outsiders, so the entire nation could bend. Air benders are true masters for the ability, mostly because since they all were air benders of course they would learn. For katara it was a whole different story.

Can any one please answer why Aang ran away from the Southern Air Temple? because he was to be sent to another temple for training, Was it Northern of Eastern?
Aang was definitely born in either Eastern or Southern but was sent even for a short time to the Eastern air temple to select a bison. In the episode Appa's Tale (or something) Appa goes to the Eastern air temple where he was raised and where Aang met him.
In the episode of Avatar and the Fire lord, after Roku dies there is a scene of Aang's birth. I think there were monks around baby Aang, not nuns, so may be Aang born at the Southern air temple.

It was the Eastern air temple that Appa goes to right, and that's where the Guru is and Aang goes there to learn how to controle his Avatar state.

Yes he was born in the Southern Air Temple and raised their, the Guru was at the Eastern Air Temple but, Aang never went to the Eastern Air Temple, another bought one back from their, and if you remember, if you watch The Southern Air Temple you can see aang and monk Giostoy(forgive spelling) and their was like 3-4 Air Bisons their and Aang never left the Southeren Air Temple until he ran away, because and this is for Sokka Fans Question, once Aang got told about it, he never wanted it so he ran away, aang got Appa for like a speical presant i think when he was becoming an Master Airbender im not sure.... but i hope this helps the people who wants to know this information

Well as we could see in the last episode(s) Aang believed in and was taught NOT to hurt others. So to other airbenders this war must have been a shock. So here, i present you with the battle you're all dieing to see:
