100 YEARS AGO: avatar frozen in iceberg
ABOUT 100 YEARS AGO: air nomads ambushed and killed by fire lord sozin and fire nation
And you know, thats basically all of the air nomads until they fell

Aang was born in the Southern Air Temple, not the Eastern Air Temple.

nope. the air nomads were usually born in the eastern air temple, where the nuns lived.
aang was also born there, and he got appa there.

it makes sense, because the women airbenders were at the Western and Eastern Temples. How would Aang be born at the Southern when it's all guys. Kinda weird lol

okay, the airbenders were only put in the temples to learn their history and airbending, if they possess the ability.
other than that, some could stay at the temples and become monks/nuns, and teach the uneducated.
but they were the AIR NOMADS meaning they moved around the world constantly.
so airbenders are most likely still out there, and they are not really supposed to be born in the temples, as to the fact that nuns, are supposed to be innocent, they are not allowed to be married, and they are not allowed to reproduce. otherwise, lol, they wouldn't be nuns.

Well.. They would have to find some way to reproduce... But, Aang did grow up in the Southern Air Temple.. Where did you find out that he was born in the Easter Air Temple...?
