I think that he deserves to be the next avatar. He is going to be very nice from now on. The reason he was bad before is because he grew up with a horrible family besides princess ursa. And he will change now because he now knows his place in the world!!!

I think he's good, he just wasn't sure of himself and who he was supposed to be before and he yielded to the pressure of Azula and Ozai. I won't say that he deserves to be the next avatar because being the avatar is very hard and there's a ton of pressure in it. Besides, his nation won't be in the cycle for a while.

so, first of all the next avatar has to be born in the water tribes.

btw aang is the current avatar and he's still alive. the next avatar will be born after aang's death. it's impossible that the next reincarnation lives the same time.

Like Roku said, Zuko can't become the avatar.
Once the avatar dies, their reincarnation is born and that baby will be the next avatar. Zuko can't just become the avatar.

But anyways, Zuko is good.

Like some sad that's not possible they have to be born just when the current one dies, so he can never be the next avat and BTW the next one has to be water, and he WAS to bad first.

He was more misguided at first (brainwashed by his want to be loved). I don't think he ever really understood the whole "world's last hope" part or that his father was bad until DoBS or perhaps a little before. I suppose it's a matter of what you think, because he was the main "bad guy" at the beginning, even if he himself wasn't bad. I do agree with the rest of your post though.

I would've chosen banished prince, but that was a really long learning experience for him and now he is entering a new era of his life, so he can't go into learning experience mode. He doesn't deserve to be the next avatar.

I think he is good, but he covers up all that makes him good in order to be "strong" in the way his father wants him to be. After all he cared about those new recruits didn't he? Zuko simply wants his father's love and tries to destroy all the "weak" emotions (mercy, kindness, gratitude, etc.) he feels, but he only manages to hide them really well.

i dont know if ive already voted for this, so im not gonna, but ill say that i think that zuko has the potential to be VERY good, as in be the next avatar, but seeing how much hed wanted the throne again, idk how much of that is still in him now that hes good
