*shrugs*...we don't know anything about his parents. Just Monk Gyatso, which I think Aang sees as a father/grandfather/mentor/friend figure was everything for Aang wrapped up in one. I don't think Aang even knows where his parents were back then. He probably never asked.
Would be interesting to find out though.

It's very likely. He was born 112 years ago.
Well, my theory is that the air nomads are either orphans or gifted children or something? I mean if it's anything like the Daili Llama...
The reason that there are so few airbenders is maybe that they're reincarnated? You can't just learn it?

Why would his dad still be alive? They were both most likely killed in the fire nation attacks, or somehow escaped and died of old age.
All air nomads were benders. But I don't know whether they all lived at the temples.

i think they r dead well its simple aang is 112 years old unless is parents can stay alive and be 142 years old
