Well I came up with this when i was watching the episode "The Storm". Oh well. I hope u like it ;D
Katara was walking along the stream as the full moon shown above her. She couldn’t sleep for these past few days. She had so much on her mind, but it was mostly conquered by the thought of Aang. Lately, her outlook on the world’s last hope of peace was changing. She didn’t see him as her friend but as something more, something along the lines of her lover. She had realized that she love him. No, she didn’t love him a motherly way, but more than that.
She sighed as she said lovingly, “Oh Aang if only you knew…”
“Knew what?”
“Who’s there?” Katara asked, terribly startled.
“Relax Sugar Queen, it’s only me.” Toph said. “Now tell me, If only Aang knew what?”
“Umm… if only he knew, umm… that Appa umm… has lice” Katara lied. She started looking down as her face reddened.
“Katara, even without Earth Bending, I can still tell your lying.” Toph smirked.
“Im not lying!” Katara said defensively.
“You love him don’t you.”
“What? No… I don’t love him… Why would you think that. I mean seriously, I don’t.. Why would you think…” Katara babbled.
“I can tell your lying.” Toph said deviously. “I knew it.”
“Fine, you caught me. But it’s not like you don’t have your own secrets. What about Sokka?”
“What about Sokka” Toph said nervously.
“A person would have to be blind to not know you have feelings for him.” Katara remarked.
“Blind eh?”
“No that’s not what I mean, it’s just an expression.”
“I know calm down, Sugar Queen.” Toph chuckled.
“Now I don’t love Sokka any more than as a brother, so get that to your head. I DON’T LOVE SOKKA.” Toph stated angrily.
Katara knew not to argue with this Blind Earth Bender or it would lead to her needing a healing session.
“Now don’t change the subject. About you and Aang, when did you start to know that you loved him?”
“Well, I started to notice I loved Aang when I wanted to be the Avatar.”
“What do you mean?” Toph asked.
“I knew I loved Aang when I wanted to be the avatar.” Katara restated herself.
“Of course you want to be the avatar. Many people want to be the Avatar. Many people want to be the master of all four elements and the most dominant force in the entire physical world.” Toph stated, clearly confused.
“Well they don’t want to be the Avatar for the same reasons I do.”
“What are your reasons then?”
“I want to be the Avatar so Aang wouldn’t be. I would want to take all that burden away from him, and I would want to take the weight of the whole world off his shoulders. That’s why I want to be the avatar.”
Toph didn’t have anything to say. All she could mutter was an “oh”.
“Well im going to bed. See you in the morning”
“Yeah see you in the morning Sugar Queen…”
