zuko's finally breaks down
Zuko and the rest of the group decide its time to go to sleep and tht they will resume the daily actives the following morning. While in his slumber, zuko dreamed dreams that would make a normal man wet their pants. He saw very clearly his mother; in the red hooded coat tht covered her whole body. Her words before departing were “zuko, why couldn’t you save me, why couldn’t you protect me.” Zuko hears why repeatedly as he sees his mother walks very slowly away into the darkness.
Zuko suddenly, wakes up, raises his head fast and begins breathing heavily. He looks around and sees it was still very late. But he couldn’t go back to sleep, after all he is only human. He decides to do something productive. He leaves the campsite and decides to train his physical body in the hopes that it will in turn help his peace of mind. H e returns to camp after several hours of training exhausted. That he is forced to sleep.
Zuko again falls into another deep sleep. And like before he has a dream. This time was different from the last though. This time zuko can remember the event to the last detail because this dream was based on an event much more recent. This dream was a dream of his uncle iroh. Zuko sees Iroh in the tea serving uniform from their teashop. “Why, zuko, why do u never think things through” Iroh yelled at him at the top of his voice. “That kind of honor is not for you.” Zuko’s dream was cut short by one of appa’s loud sneezes. Zuko gets up once more and sees Aang being trained by toph.
Toph launches a rock large rock that was headed toward sokka with vast speed. Noticing that sokka was not even a step away, zuko lunches at sokka to move him out of the way. “Listen here toph for the last time, my boomerang is the only thing that comes back” sokka yelped at toph. “My bad, I thought that you could at least beat a rock in a fight” toph chuckled at sokka. “Toph I think I had enough earth bending training for the day” aang says this with a slight smirk on his face. “Katara can we work on my waterbending now.” Katara just smiled and walk up to aang.
Zuko was about to leave when sokka tugged on zuko’s shoulder. “wait I got to ask u something” sokka seemed serous and continued “can u train me?” “What!?” zuko asked confused. “Well aang tells me u are quite skilled with those swords of yours” sokka wasn’t joking. “You want me, to teach u how to fight with swords?” zuko said still shucked at the question he been given. “I guess I can teach u the basics but since we have different swords u will have figure the rest out yourself” zuko said now got up with himself. To which Toph who was listening in responded, “great sokka may be able to beat a rock yet.” Sokka pretended the that last comment didn’t occur said, “We start tomorrow alright. Zuko thought to himself about what he has become a part of. And before he he know it the whole day went by.
Zuko didn’t even try to sleep this night. He started more intense training. He pulled out his swords and with his fire bending together tried to cut down a small mountain. To which many rocks fell down, a few the size of a small car fell on zuko’s legs. Zuko nearly lost his voice gasping in pain. Zuko looked up and saw Roku before him. Zuko managed to pull both his legs out. Roku asked zuko, “what seems to be troubling you, my young grandchild ?”
