Chapter 6: ashes
Theron lay awake on the couch. He wasn't realy tired for he had already tooken a nap. He wondered of were he and Elkina were to go from here. It was a wide world indeed. So much to see, and so much to do. He had no idea were to start.
He looked to his great sword. The night time sky poured threw the window, and the moonlight touched the weopen, making a seen of beiuty that touched Theron in a way that many things did. The weopon had been a gift from Artimisia.
She had carved in the ruins, and crafted the desighn on the hilt. She had tought Theron to use the weopen, and more importantly, when not to use it. He chuckled and shook his head. He was by no means lawal, and knew the lesson was extreemly neccesary.
Suddenly he smelt something funny. He knew the smell well, and smelt it earlier that very same day. He smelt Smoke.
He hopped out of the couch, and ran to the entering room to see a fire coninued to consume the wall. The door suddenly burst open and a hooded figure move in. He chucked a few viles of some clear liquid with an odd smell. Oil.
"Prepare to die, celestial of the wood!" hoted the man as he chucked a torch. Fire consumed the house. and Theron fought hard to calm himself. He had to help the others. Even Arkander, for Theron knew there was no room for petieness in a disaster.
"ELKINA! ARKANDER!" he shouted as he chopped away burning wood, "WAKE UP! WAKE UP!"
"THERON!" gasped Elkina. She was stuck in her room with by a barrier of fire.
Arkander burst from behind the smoke, and dumped a bucket of water on the flames. The fire hissed in protest, as steam rolled up. Elkina quikly hopped threw before the fire reignited.
The three cuntinuesy dodged burning object after burning object. Finaly the found the door and hopped threw it. Grotten , however had other plans.
A large form tackled Arkander back into the house. They burst threw a wall and fellinto the floor of the kitchen. After a few powerful punches, Arkander was knocked out. Satisfied, Grotten smashed a hole in the ceiling as he hopped out.
He didn't expect, another strong being to fallow though. Threw the hole in the wall Theron lept. He grabbed Arkander and threw him over his sholder. He side stepped a a falling plank and shout into a mad dash as the house caved in on him.
"C'mon," Elkina said. It had been to long. Were were they? Just as she thought this, Theron lept from thecollapsing building. Elkina too lept away from the flameing building as it tumble down. She couldn't help but feel a tinge of sadness as she remembered her village that had burnt down as well.
"C'mon Elkina," said Theron, "If these are any kind of assaisions, we should put some ground between us and them. Elkina agreed, and supporting Arkander, they ran out of the city.
