(Yay Back story!)
Chapter 1:Little Theron (age:7)
"How many times must i tell you little one?" sighed Artimisia as she picked uped her little brother Theron, "Stop playing on the tree tops. Next time you fall you might not be able to stop yourself." She sighed again as Theron looked up to her with his wild green eyes. She didn't think for a minute that Theron was paying attention, even after his standerd, "Okay Artimisia," Atleast he'd stay out of harms way for an hour thought Artimisia as she shook her head and left little Theron to his thoughts.
Theron stared at the large oak for a moment, wondering what had made him slip off of it. Then his thoughts turned to his elders. Why did they always stop his training? If he didn't care if he got injureys then why did they? "What are you doing?" asked Kane. Kane was one of Theron's friends from the village. He had white hair and oddly enough purple eyes. "You should be training not dilly dalying about." "But Kane," protested Theron, "They won't let me! I can already beat all the dummies at the training grounds. I want to move around the trees like a squierl would, but Artimisia will have my head." Kane scratched his chin. "This is a dillema indeed," pointed out Kane, "You should try fighting one of the forest monsters." The "Forest monsters" were a force to be reckoned with. Only trained celestials of the bear tribe could fight them. Theron ready as ever thought nothing of this headed out in to the forest thinking nothing of it.

Okay...
Chapter 2:First fight
Theron wondered about the forest. Night fall was coming soon and he was begining to regret his dissition. Yet on he walked, ready to fight. Eventualy he heard ruff growls and barks in the next clearing. Climbing up a tree, he veiwed the creatures. Two bipedial wolf creatures, growled at each other in there animal like language. Theron knew these creatures well. "Gnolls," he wispered to himself. Gnolls were disgusting barbarians that often fought with Theron"s clan. They had the face of a hyina and the rest of their body was covered in thick uncept fur. With no fear Theron bravely lept out of the tree and onto one of the Gnolls. He puched as hard as he could at the creatures head, but in the end was picked up and thrown across the clearing. The Gnolls began to snicker, as they drew their axes. They would eat well tonight. Theron looked about for an escape but found only one. He began to climb a tree as far as he could. But the Gnoll, though they weren't as talented as Theron, could climb aswell. Theron snapped of a branch of the tree and began swinging at the Gnolls. One... two... three hits he made at the highest Gnoll. But on the fourth swing, the monster grabbed the stick, and threw it down from the tree. Theron cuntinued to climb, breaking branches and twigs to slow his enemy's ascent. When he reached a good distance up the tree, he broke off another branch to fight with. He dove off the tree, and elbowed the Gnoll he hit earlier in the face, cuasing the disgusting thing to plumit to the ground. Theron found another hold and positioned himself for the fight with the next creature. It lifted it's axe and chopped at Theron but the swing wiffed and gave Theron the opening he needed. He plunged the branch forward and into the Gnoll's eye. As the creature sreaked with pain, Theron slid down the tree and gave the creature a mighty kick to the head. The monster bit and scratched at the child but Theron ever dexterouse dodged the attacks. He continued to kick and punch, until finale the gnoll lost it's footing and fell. Theron was quick to regain his footing before he suffered a simaler fate. Worn out and exuaghsted Theron climbed back to the forest floor. He was happy to find that the Gnolls were sucsessfuly killed. He then began the journey home, but suddenly something hit him in the neck. A needle? he wondered as he felt the sembom in his neck, and colapsed...

aahhh... the plot thickens... this is interesting. You havew since then given me inspiration for another series I'll probably write... (Sanaki, hint, hint...) good material. Longer chapters might be the only thing I think is worth suggesting. ~Iroh~

Chapter 3: Elkina
Theron awoke to see two big brown eyes staring back at him. It didn't take him long to discover the eyes belonged to a girl his age. She had paint on her face and black hair. She was dressed similar to Theron, and as far as Theron could tell, she too was a celestial. "Who are you?" asked Theron inocently enough, but he suddenly found a spear tip against his throat. "Silence!" she said threw gritted teeth. Theron's confusion was sincere for he truely didn't understand the girls hostilaty towards him. "You're coming with me!" she shouted, "Now get up, we have to go." As Theron stold up he realized his hands were tied, and his pockets had been emptied. Suddenly, the girl's war paint struck a cord in Theron's memory. "Your part of the hawk tribe, aren't you?" he asked, and the girl nodded. "Rivals of bear tribe scum like you," she replied, "I came to the forest looking for a test of my skills, but you were pathetic." "So you find throwing needles a skill," luaghed Theron, not mockingly as much as at the difference of their tribes ideas. He then kicked the spear from his enemy's hand and kicked the girl down to the ground. She was stunned at Theron's speed. "You and I aren't so different you know," said Theron, as he looked down upon his hostile new friend, "I to came out here to test my skills. I found Gnolls though." The girl seemed to calm down a bit. Feeling confident, with the win, Theron stepped off and began to untie his hands. He had been tought more then once how to escape a hawk tribe knot, and Theron rarely forgot a lesson. The girl sat up. Her cheeks grew red realizing the foolishness of her actions. She hateded this child before she had had even seen his face, and yet after being attacked, he still trusted her enough to release his grasp. Perhaps this boy could be her friend. "So what's your name?" asked Theron as he freed himself. "Elkina, and you?" "Theron." He offered Elkina a hand to get up. She hesitated, and Theron drew away realizing that she wasn't completely trusting of him. An idea popped into his head. "Come with me," he said, "Let us see the tribe you dispise so." She didn't argue
"Theron!" yelled Artimisia, "Theron!" Were had he gone? She spun about to see Kane looking down at his feet. "Were is he Kane?" she asked. "I don't know," replied the child, wanting to stay out of trouble, "He said something about training-" "IN THE FORREST!" "Yeah i-i guess," "He could get killed by the forrest monster, or by an enemy tribe!" said Artimisia more to herself then to Kane, who now was slowly slipping away from the angry woman. He stoped as he saw two tiny forms enter the village. "There he is!" shouted Kane, and Artimisia eyes duobled in size as she saw the girl fallowing him. "Theron!" she yelled.

nice. Very descriptive. of course, something tells me that this is not avatar-related but I could be wrong. Still, topic aside, this is a good story. Once again, my only suggestion would be to possible make them longer. Whatever works.

Chapter 4: Tradjedy
Marnok stood at the edge of his village. Not so long ago, his duaghter had disapeared, and now he sat and prayed that she was okay. He beleived it was partialy his fualt, for he always speaking of his hated rivals, the bear tribe. Suddenly, there was movement behind the bushes. "Elkina?" he called in little more then a whisper. An arrow to the arm was his reply. A disgusting bipedial wolf apeared. "Gnolls!" shouted Marnok, as he unsheathed his sword. An army of the ugly beast filled into the village. The archers fired away, and many of the Gnolls began to fall to the ground. Marnok charged into a small group, and dove his blade into the closest gnoll, before it knew what hit it. The others more prepared, began bringing their axes down upon Marnok in rapid succsesion. However Marnok was an ever seasoned fighter, and parried away most, and the few that hit, cuased him little pain. Gnoll after Gnoll fell before him, but the same could be said for few others. The Gnolls arrose their torches, and began to burn every hut, in the village. There was simply too many. Soon the tribe of the hawk began to see the end, and some fled. Most died. Marnok however, fell into neither catagory, and the beasts began to beleive there was much to this demon, who's blade seemed to divoer their ranks. Bloke soked and beeten, Marnok began to slip into exuaghstion. Only a minute after his eyes close did they tear open to see his final wound. Then they closed again, and didn't open again
Meanwhile, several miles to safety, Elkina sat twiddleing her thumbs, and sitting on the bed of the room she had been given. Theron had been yelled at and was now being punnished. The elders had decided to let her stay the night, and in the mourning they would walk her home. The door creeked open, and Theron slipped in. "You okay," he asked her. She looked upon him for a moment. He had a black eye, a bruized shoulder, and what seemed to be a limp in his step. "What happened?" asked Elkina, genuinly consirned. "Artimisia said, if i was so eger to fight, then i'd have to fight her. She's stronger then you'd think," luaghed Theron. Not for the first time and certainley not the last time, Elkina looked upon Theron with confusement. What made his spirit so strong? "Anyway, i just came here to tell you to get a good night's rest, and if you need anything, I'll help." Then he turned and left. Elkina, layed her head on the pillow and fell asleep, completely unknowing of the tradjedy that had befallen her clan.
The mourning sun pored threw the trees as it always did, giving the woods a warm day. Artimisia, fallowed closely by Elkina, and partialy by Theron, who took to wondering a yard or two off, walked the old path to the village of the hawk. Their happy attitude however disapeared as they entered the clearing of the old village. The place was littered with dead celestials and Gnolls. Sinders from the fires remained, and the smell of corpses stayed in the air. Minutes passed by, each seeming like a lifetime, before any of the party members moved. Elkina fell to her knees and began to cry. Artimisia and Theron moved beside her and supported her. "How could this happened,"sobbed Elkina. "Simple," frowned Artimisia, "God hates happiness,"
