Tera: so, you did come.
Sanaki: I'm a girl of my word, Tera. I only lie when I get some really good money out of it.
Tera: mm-hmm...
Sanaki: so, what did you want to tell me?
Tera: this is only for you to hear. you can tell the story, but what I am about to tell you (in italics--never mind, you don't know what that is) is only for you to hear. No telling Kai, no telling Tera253, no telling Orophin.
Sanaki: okay. I promise.
Tera: I want people to be able to understand what I've been through. The life of a supernatural is not an easy one. What's worse is when you get rejected for something you can't help.
Sanaki:like your ears?
Tera: worse than that. think more along the lines because of my capabilities...
Sanaki: that's terrible! why... why would they do that?
Tera: humans are a very foolish and ignorant race. They only care for themselves.
Sanaki: don't you think that's stereotypical?
Tera: maybe a little... but that's not the point. The point is, supernaturals are very rare. They only appear when all the elements meet in one place. they appear taking on the form of a 5-year-old child. the gender of the supernatural determines the gender of the child obviously. From here, they spend 5 years as a 5-year-old, and then grow until they reach the age of 21 or so, from which they retain that appearance for the rest of their lives.
Sanaki: so, you spend 5 years as a 5-year-old why?
Tera: that way, when we turn 6, we can actually say we're 6 instead of 2.
Sanaki: okay. carry on.
Tera: Other than being born with master bending skills, there is another distinct feature that supernaturals have that distinguishes them from normal humans. You might have guessed it by now--it's our large ears.
Sanaki: so, what's the main point of this whole thing?
Tera: the point is, I was rejected. I was loathed and despised by everyone that knew me. And for what? my ears!?! no. for my powers. MY. POWERS.
Sanaki: th... that's terrible! I mean, if all else failed, even you could cut your ears off, but being despised for your powers? that's just... that's just wrong.
Tera: that... that destroyed me. apparently no one knew how to tell a superntaural until they saw him or her use their abilites. I must have given off a bad message by training.
Sanaki: YOU need TRAINING!?!
Tera: everyone does. it only makes you better. It is how you learn the most effective way of getting something done, whether it's killing someone or moving an entire village out of harm's way.
Sanaki: so, why are you cruel and mean now?
Tera: *sighs* my life was and is a life of sorrow, deception, cruelty and malice, Sanaki Li Chan. There was no happiness. no room for joy and love. Being rejected by the entire world totally consumed me. I became fond of tormenting people, I acquired bloodlust. Things only got worse after Fire Lord Sozin started the war.
Sanaki: so, what did you do?
Tera: I have plans to take them out. for the time though, I thrived on that malice that the world issued form the wrath of war. It was only recently that I realized something should be done. perhaps I should seduce and slaughter my way to the top. That way, the world could be restored to its original order.
Sanaki: what order was that?
Tera: it's a complicated story, Sanaki Li Chan. it's very complicated.
Sanaki: so, is this it?
Tera: aye, this is the end of my tale for now. my tale never ends though. There are over 8700 years of it left to tell...
Sanaki: so, you're not going to torture me like you always do when it's just me and you?
Tera: well, normally I would but since you came here so innocent and trusting...
Sanaki: you're letting me go?
Tera: don't tell anyone, but yes I am. run!

V'icternus: I never picked you for the sob story type, perhaps we aren't as similar as I thought.
