Those of you who know me recognize me for my notorious signoffs. I use a variety of different Avatar characters (and a custom one for RPG-material) to signoff. And, although the guide is also in my sig, I'll post it here in a little more detail. Why am I doing this? because I am bored. there is not much of any other reason... well, that and to inform. so, here's the guide.
AANG: these are usually Q&A posts, and have a serious nature. Whenever I am trying to be helpful, the Aang signoff will follow the post. You will never see me being rude in one of these. I very seldom use these, so when I do, you know that I am being as truthful as I can possibly be.
SOKKA: These posts are often simple, and are more often than not questions more than anything. However, if there is a somewhat blunt post that I don't feel like using Katara on, I will post a Sokka. So basically, these are my question posts. Additionally, they also sometimes have a sarcastic nature.
ZUKO: Ah, one of my favorite signoffs. there's a note about this one at the end, so let's wait until I get there. Zuko posts are almost always the ones I put humor into (actually, I put humor into everything I do, even breathing. I can show you lol). Any post that is incredibly ridiculous or hilarious will have Zuko at the end as a result of my system. such are my ways. If I ever want my reputation destroyed, I will only use this signoff. The only exception to this would be if I used a Zuki.
TOPH: these are the posts that probably make me lose Karma, since they are straightforward, and sometimes rude. They are similar to Sokka posts, but Toph posts tend to be of a more "my way of the highway" nature. They will occasionally contain some humor, but mostly are provocative, stubborn posts. Such are my ways. They are also often blunt.
IROH: Iroh posts also cover facts that I am unsure about. These are generally more positive in contrast to Toph, which is generally negative. Iroh posts tend to be informative, and are my more basic way of telling people things. Usually when I'm providing some type of information, I will post an Iroh.
AZULA: Azula posts are the sinister, mysterious posts. they often house my evil thoughts, and reflect upon the personality of their character quite well. I will also use these when I drop a hint or two about an upcoming fanfic or what-not. Usually anything related to a fanfic will be an Azula.
TY LEE: These posts tend to be when I branch off topic slightly, and can therefore cover a lot. Also, whever I talk about artwork, drawings, or anything of that caliber, Ty Lee is the signoff that I will use. However, similar to some other signoffs, it can be used almost anywhere.
MAI: These are some of my favorite posts. Mai posts are things I say a lot, such as short lines or catch phrases. AS a direct result, Mai posts are increasingly common, since I say the same thing so much.
SANAKI: Originally restricted to only the RPG room, Sanaki posts are now everywhere. they are me when I act like myself, or when Sanaki herself makes an appearance. She has used other signoffs, but mostly, Sanaki (naturally) uses my Sanaki signoff. I like this one a lot because Sanaki posts are when I just say things plainly and act like myself.
KATARA: No, I did not forget about Katara. Katara posts are my favorite, because I can use them anywhere. Katara is my wildcard signoff. These posts are EVERYWHERE. these are my out-of-character posts in the RPG room as well. Katara posts usually appear when there is a cross between 2 types of posts (like one that starts off with my flat-out opinion that then crumbles into stupid humor), or when a post just doesn't seem to fit the criteria of any of the others. It also appears when I'm too lazy to think of which signoff to use. Katara is perhaps the most common signoff I use. On that note, I've gotten into a habit of using Katara as my default signoff.
KAI: Kai posts seem like the arae ones, but unlike Aang posts, these do not have to be helpful. These are posts of a *very* kind nature. They are often sympathetic and caring, and you will never find anything mean in them. They are also the new standard for my character Kai, after which this is named.
ZUKI: One of my latest signoffs. Originally an error from a Zuko post, Zuki ended up springing not only into a signoff, but also into a character. This one is for things so stupid and ridiculous that even ~Zuko~ could not handle. Additionally, they are the signoffs of my new RPG character (although she does not replace Sanaki) Zuki.
OZAI: These are rare signoffs that are pure evil. nothing more needs said here.
TERA: Tera signoffs are named after my character Tera, not my name. They have various meanings, but what the guidelines are are unknown. they all have something in common, though I'm nto sure what. for some reason, I just know when to use them. they are diverse and generally nice, just like the character.
A brief note:
You may have noticed that most of the signoffs reflect the actual character used. Sokka is blunt, Toph is rude, Iroh is wise but also funny, Ty lee is random, Azula is sinister, (Sanaki is RPG-related) Mai is bored with seeing the same thing over and over, and Katara is a little of everything at the moment (in my opinion, so ha)
the ones that don't match as well are Aang and Zuko. Aang at least tries to though, since he is serious sometimes, but he also has a sense of humor.
Zuko on the other hand, is so absurdly far-off that he's almost not worth talking about. I still don't know how the stupid and funny posts landed under his name, but they did. Here's my theory:
