About free role play....

The free role play is good at times, but i'd rather you guys pick a GM. (preferabley someone who's on a lot) This helps keep the game in line. Becuase in a normal rpg, players can respawn to the enviorment however they please, but cannot act for anything beside your character. For example:

GM: You wake up to find a feild of dead bodys.
Player 1: I check to see if anyone's alive
Player2: I look for the killer.
GM: both of you find a single surviver. A man dressed in black chuckles as he leans on a tree.
Player 1: "Did you do this?"
Player 2: I draw my sword.
GM: The man looks at you two and shoots a fire ball at player 1
Player 1: I dodge and pull out my hammer.
Player 2: I lung at the man with my sword.
GM: Player 1 succesfully dodges, as player two misses the blow. The man punches player 2 in the stomache and sends him to the ground.
Player 1: I swing my hammer at him.
Player 2: I hopp up and charge.
GM: the hammer hits him sending him flying back. Player 2 stabbs the man. the man is dead.
Player 1: "Who are you?" asks my player noticing the second.
Player 2: "That isn't your buisness

And so on and so forth. Players can make their characters act differently then others (For example player 2 trys to act tougher) but in the end the players run their characters and the GM runs everything else. Got it?

Why is it called "FREE role play" then


You know, if people need that many rules for this, no one will use it.

surprisingly enough though, there is sort of a GM in the game.
who is it? well, it varies by day and/or by time of day.
but yeah, it's actually pretty organized. the only downside is that if someone wants to play, they have to drop in frequently or they'll get lost.
but, that just sucks for them.
the convenience of it is that we don't have to wait for everyone to get on.
And, without a fixed GM, we don't have to revolve around their schedule. we have it organized in such a manner that we know a basic idea of the storyline..

I know, but there isn't any rules besides keeping the game in line. I don't have much a problem with it, but I don't want everyone learning the wrong way, and everyone getting out of hand. I don't have a problem with one or two, but I'd prefer that you guys made organized sesions. Do you know what I mean, or am I just shitting out gibberish.

I know what you mean.
the problem is, we're all in different time zones. there's huge differences between us.
I mean, I'm from New Mexico, the acting GM is from Arizona (there's a 1-hour difference)
superbender is from Norway, Orophin's from Australia, Reaperz is eastern time (so that +2 from me) and ilovethisshow... I don't know about her...
and seeing as those are the main people who have interactinve characters (as in: the ones who have developed their characters in the form of fanfics, pictures, etc) we're the ones who like to play together.

And understanding this, I don't mind you guys haveing fun. Like I've been telling my private rpg players, I'm hoping to start up an organized sesion in the summer, when time isn't a factor.

Well eduante in the free rpg we do have someone telling us what to do in a way its just we can change the story line to if we felt like it we kinda just go with the flow and dont get told what to do untill main things happen.

Actually that's mainly because my time is so far ahead of everyone elses... I've checked, and I am the RPGer with the furthest ahead time. It's 7:30 Friday morning for me!

im actualy kinda regreting making it when i try to play i get totaly lost and i have no idea whats going on. i sorta agree with both of u. its nice to let people play even when everone isnt on but it does need to be better orgainized

Same rpg, new concepts, wich if you people don't like, you should go over there and say so, cuase when summer rolls around, i'm using whatever the current agreement is. Right now I beleive they are voted mainly against, but you don't know how something will turn out if you don't put your 2 cents in.
