So many people think that the fire nation is the strongest nation because they took down the air nation and the earth.
1. The firebenders took the comet's power to destroy the air nation. AND yet still the airbenders took out masses. Look at Monk Giatso (not sure how to spell his name). He took out tons of fire nation troops without the help of a comet.
2. Fire nation only took Ba Sing Se because they attacked from the inside. With the HELP of the Di Lee (not sure about this name either).
The fire nation cant take one area without the help of some other force that no one knows about. All the Fire nation can do is shoot little fireballs from their ships because they cant face any nation head on. Water benders can freeze them, Air benders can blow them to back to their sad nation, Earth benders can just make the earth swallow them up. The Fire nation isn't the strongest out there.

I voted Earth. I mean, yeah the fire nation seems like the most powerful, but like Momo said, they've had surprise help

well if you get technincal, the strongest nation is the firenation....there military technology is probably the best in the avatar series.....but, the earth kingdom has the largest army (i think)...but, if i picked one, i like the firenation (not being technical ) |

I dont believe there is a "strongest nation" at all. Because all the elements are equal when you think about it.
They all have strong and weak sides. And like Iroh said "The different elements balance each other".
