I've been training myself to stay away from this thread, because I know how passionate I can get about it, but you guys made me laugh, so whenever I'd get ticked off, it'd be all good. (The debate between Fire Lord Zuko and cookie, and then the one between thedragonofthewest and Roku the Great/ vabrieman were awesome.) I would exalt all of you for making my night, but I'm only allowed one exalt every hour...and not knowing that, I gave it to Fire Lord Zuko (And no, I'm not encouraging your pervertedness, but I still laughed...oh, and I know you want to be smited, but lol). Anyway...Kiba has made the most logical argument for Kataang that I've ever come across in my life. Everything else I've ever read sounded forced, but Kibas actually made sense (and if you've read my posts before you know I'm all about logic.) So hopefully I'll get to exalt you and everyone else I've mentioned here at some time...eventually. But Justafan sums up the sincerity of what I feel for Zutara. Aang is the Avatar, and so automatically the creators are going to put him together with the lead girl. Frankly, I can't really watch any other animated show on Nickalodeon but Avatar the Last Airbender, so I don't have any idea about this American dragon thingie that Kiba was talking about, but the opposing elements getting together would be so cool. If you guys (Kataangers) have trouble picturing how a Zutara relationship could happen after the two part "Day of Black Sun" airing, then read this fanfic by a talented writer Caspre. www.fanfiction.net/s/3898057/1/ClashMaybe Caspre's right, and Katara has so much love for Aang, that she can't distinguish between true love. She is fourteen afterall, what would she know about love? Even less likely would Aang being twelve. You can't compare Zuko's issues with his father to his possible love for Katara...we've seen Zuko jealous, so if he did like Katara, he would probably make a move in order to keep her. But the conflict for Katara to choose between Aang and Zuko is something I'd never considered until I read Caspre's fanfic...I always thought she'd choose Aang, realize she likes Zuko more and then everyone would celebrate, but how would her friends react to her decision? Would she be shunned because they too always believed she would get with Aang? A Zutara relationship would be so much harder, so much angstier, so much deeper, and would add so much more dimension to the show. In order for them to truly defeat the firelord, this would also have to be resolved. It would be them against the world....how cool is that? PS. I'm also a Tokka shipper!  |

zutara is such nonsense .... -.- well i dont say they wouldn't be a nice shipping but WHAT ABOUT AANG  ? a nice girlfriend for him is much more important than one for zuko ad toph isn't possible i would like a tokka shipping  I don't want Aangy to hurt either! But Zuko needs to stop hurting too. I can't see anyone else on the show who can stop the pain. Mai doesn't love life enough to give Zuko that love of life. Hopefully we'll meet some female airnomads and she'll be interested in Aang, look up to him, and then later when they're older (cause Aang is too young to be mature about a relationship) they can get together. We reaaaaalllly need to introduce another girl into the series... |

I really dont see how Zuko and Katara can go together, REALLY he had been chasing the gaang for the whole of book 1, and besides the fire/water bending fight Katara and Zuko had in the underground cave (in episode 20, season 2) sure didn't help with any possiblity for a friendship.
But the relationship of Aang and Katara began with Aang waking up in Katara's arms in the South Pole AND that had to mean something for their relationship. Of course we can't forget the "love dance" Aang and Katara had in the episode of the "Headband." And concerning Aang's and Katara's kiss on the Day of Black Sun, it doesnt matter who kissed who, all that matters is THEY KISSED!!

KATAANG! (oh and by the way Aang is a Nomad (( and a monk i think but not enough that he can't/isn't allowed to LOVE someone)
Its what the show has been leading up to the whole time, there has been no showing/hinting of *Zutara* but muliple of Kataang. And i know that Zutarians say that well she doesnt like him like that (I beileve she does but is confused/afriad) Once Aang does something about it she will open up.
Kataang is going to happen, and has been happening sice the starting of the show. (Oh and don't say well she didn't kiss back in the Day of Black Sun) but she did relax when it was happeneing and she wasn't sad about him kissing her but was sad by him leaveing...
Oh no im ranting agian, just w/e Kataang all the way! ( I might post agian just for the heck of it to prove my point )

But I still think it'd be sweet.^_^ |

If I remember correctly, Katara started crying when she realized that Jet was hurt and possibly going to die after she had been super angry with him. She cares about people, especially hurting people who need care. (2) Why does it matter that he woke up in her arms? It just makes it seem like a Mary-Sue relationship type because that's way too cheesy. (No offense to anyone.) There's a Mary Sue Litmus test online and one of the things that makes a character a Mary Sue is being nursed back to health, doubly so to being nursed back to health by the romantic interest. (3) Who says it's a "love dance"? Please don't say you, because that's just a biased opinion that doesn't really count. (No, I'm not saying that your opinion doesn't count, but I'm saying that it's biased so you [or whoever] can read what they want into it.) (4) Yes, it does matter who kissed who because since Aang kissed Katara, many of the viewers (myself included) are skeptical about Katara's feelings for Aang. Just because a kiss happens does not mean that both parties consented to and/or wanted the kiss. Especially in this case when it was so obvious that Aang initiated the kiss while Katara was in the middle of talking. |

PROOF THAT KATAANG WILL NOT HAPPEN!!!!! hate to spoil all of your kataang hopes but it will never happen aang is not going to have love in season 1 episode the fortuneteller, aunt woo (who was technically never wrong even when she predicted that the village was not going to be destroyed by the volcano and the volcano erupted, gaang saved the village and it was not destroyed so she was technically right) told aang to place a bone into the fire. the bone exploded and aunt woo predicted that there would be a huge battle between good and evil. aang acted bored and asked about his love life. Aunt woo said she didnt see anything, but then seeing his disapointment said that if you follow your heart, you will be with the one you love.
