I like Toph and Sokka. I think they makes a great team and are two of my favorite characters from the show. I think they make an awesome duo... as friends and 'partners of crime'.

I can't particularly see them crossing beyond their friendship. It's not because of their age difference. I'm Kataang and it would be hypocritical for me to discredit a couple for being a few years apart. I'm aware of Toph's obvious crush on Sokka, but it seems largely one-sided. I haven't seen Sokka display anything remotely appearing as returned feelings. And... come on... we've seen him act romantic or lovey dovey or flirty. He never seemed to act flirty towards Toph. I've interpreted his behavior as brotherly or buddy-like/comrade.

I could support Tokka... I could and maybe would if I saw Sokka showed as much romantic/flirty interest in Toph as he did with Yue, Suki, Ty Lee, etc.

Not saying there is zero chance. It could happen, but I can't see it happening in the current course of the show. Right now, it seems Sokka and Suki are doing just fine and I like them as a couple. But, who knows... in the future when their older.

that aside though. Tokka is like Zutara...

it's often overlooked by logic, has little supporting evidence, and is an awesome ship...

we get the siblings, and then we get the two most bada** young people (I say young people so Iroh doesn't count, since Iroh is bada**) in the show.

I... don't see the logic in what was just said to make a pairing awesome or legitimate, but... whatever floats one's boat.

Could you point out the moments where Sokka has acted with romantic interest towards Toph with comparison to Yukka[Yue/Sokka], Sukka, or Tylokka?

I see Tokka the same way I see Kataang; it's obvious that one person in the ship likes the other, but the other has been oblivious to that liking and may see that person as just a friend.
The reason I like Tokka is because:
a) Toph is Awesome
2) Tokka play off of each other so well, and show a lot of relational potential with adorable interaction
z) Toph is Awesome

And that's my A-2-Z on why I like Tokka. I could get further into this, but I've not felt the need to type that much just to try and get someone to accept an awesome pairing
