either one works for me... you obviously know I can cook up good plots... (fanfics. lol) but of course, having a witty player who knows how to retaliate also helps... so, either way. ~Sanaki~

We don't need alot of GMs we need more players. But let's try to finish our debate on RPG.
We still need to discuss: Combat Rules Aspect of Bending and GM rules.

OK, back on topic.
Let's start debating on the big one in RPGs. The combat system. Any suggestions? I'll post mine after you guys are done.

as far as combat goes i say dice are good. Gm determines how much Hp/armor each enemy has.first roll determines if it hits, second roll determines damage. i have a more advanced dice set than most of you i think due to D&D i have 20 sided, 10 sided 12 sided 6 sided 4 sided and so on. Quicker attacks do less damage but are more likly to hit. slow atacks do more damage and have a lower chance to hit. if the GM doesnt have a full dice set, a few 6 sidd dies would work. this is what i think as far as combat

The more I read the more confused I get about the whole consept with GM .. GM= Gamemaster. The Gamemaster controls the game in RPG and decides the quest/adventures/or objectives the players need to do. There should be a thread on How RPG works.

I don't want to have to bring in a bunch of freaky numbers into this game... that's why I didn't join daxx's other RPG. ~Toph~

But really I think that is the best solution for it. But apparently it's confusing I guess *Shrugs*

And I think it's better than having the players just dodge everything, having attacks hit all the time and having a big argument on who dies/looses and who doesn't.

If your not GM you wont have to wroy about numbers. besides its prety simple. if the gm thinks the atack is short and weak they will roll 2 dice compared to the enemie's armour/defence . if they think it is slow but strong the will roll fewer. the amount of armor will be resonable enough for it to be possilbe to hit with a slow attack and quite likly to hit with a short atttack.
"If elected Class President , i mean GM, i will have a good system of damage, armor, and atack rolls."(said in an akward 9th grade speech tone)
seriosly though, it may not make sence(i may not be explaining it very well) but i know what im doing

If you don't think dice rolling is the solution then what's your opinion on solving the combat issue?
