If your not GM you wont have to wroy about numbers. besides its prety simple. if the gm thinks the atack is short and weak they will roll 2 dice compared to the enemie's armour/defence . if they think it is slow but strong the will roll fewer. the amount of armor will be resonable enough for it to be possilbe to hit with a slow attack and quite likly to hit with a short atttack. "If elected Class President , i mean GM, i will have a good system of damage, armor, and atack rolls."(said in an akward 9th grade speech tone) seriosly though, it may not make sence(i may not be explaining it very well) but i know what im doing actually, they (I) will. I'll have to worry about my character's HP, worry about how big and bad my opponent is, and all that jazz. of course that would move me out, as previously noticed in daxx's last RPG ~Sanaki~

It's really easy imo. player says attack they're doing. GM flips a coin if it hits, rolls dice on how much damage. easy as that.

Ok tera. Gm will keep track of your characters hp. you can determine a fair starting place for your hp depending on how physicaly tough your character is. If you have 25 hp, get hit for 5, i will keep track of that. as far as how big/bad your opponent is, you dont need to wory about that either. i will roll for his atacks, damage and ill keep track of his hp too,
if i said I instead of GM sory but im realy buisy and im multitasking right now. im not necesarily GM

And adding to drizzzit no one is big or bad. It's all depending on how they hit and I'm thinking of everyone starting out with the same hp

yea ur realy simplifiying things. Tera im not trying to shut you out. your not in agreement with the system where trying, you can sugest one and we will take a look at it
to finalize mine/daxx's system
Everyone starts with 25 hp(just an example) you go to atack someone, GM flips a coin. Heads hits, tails misses one 6 sided die is rolled for damage.(this means all bending is equal, so are weapons. this may be a problem or some of u may be opposed to this. it seems like a good way to make it fair though. otherwise everone would pick something that does the most damage. especialy if everyone has a 50% chance to hit nomater what they are attacking with.) You hit the enemy for 5 damage(asuming it has 25 hp) the gm marks the monster down to 20 hp.

And adding to drizzzit no one is big or bad. It's all depending on how they hit and I'm thinking of everyone starting out with the same hp (when I said that it was just an example) the problem with everyone being equal in HP/power/etc. is that it takes away the uniqueness of every character... I mena, it kinda makes them carbon copies if small, fast little Sanaki has the same power/HP/speed as big strong Volke (just examples, and yes, pretty much anyone is "big and strong" compared to Sanaki) just my thoughts on that concept. I might be misnterpretting it. ~Katara~

perhaps...
I just want it to be easy so we don't alienate newcomers... I'm pretty sure I could adapt to that if I actually wanted to... but yeah... I was more thinking of potential RPGers.

Well he just made a suggestion
Tera I like the suggestion about everyone being copies. I wanted to go with that in the first place but how would we determinded who has more HP? I was thinking on the lines of age, weight, and such abilities. Good idea tho Tera. Just that we have to come up with something to balance that. Love the idea tho.

ironically, I brought it up because I didnt like the concept... I liked the uniqueness that each character held...
making them carbon copies would kinda destroy their foundations and make it seem all-too generic. besides, it just wouldn't be very realistic, even for an RPG. ~Sanaki~

Agreed I like uniquness and creativeness but we'll have to create a limit to peoples health and attack power. Which I'll try to conduct something for that. The only other solution to determining stats is actually gear/armor/weapons/spells and such. Which isn't what we're trying to do.

but some of us (namely my characters) tend to rely on raw bending...
I mean, we should have differences, but the GMs/players should know where to make their limits... I mean, making a super fast and super strong character with high HP that's impossible to hit and has super range is a nono... (Mary Sue anyone?) so I mean, people would ba able to forced to make them balanced-ish.
I mean, take Sanaki... really really fast, difficult to hit, and decent range, yes? but on the opposite side, not very strong, and not very much HP. thus, Sanaki=balance. (maybe a little above average)
but yeah, making characters different and keeping them "balanced" would not be too hard... would it?

Yes that would work. We could just have them post their speed/strength/hp/weaknesses/strengths and GMs will approve them.
