Age group.

Sorry if this is in the wrong place, but anyways, here a'goes.

Some people think Katara is 12, some people think Katara is 14. To compare her to other people in the gang's ages, lets plot it out.

Aang is 12 (obviously).

Toph is 12 (again, obvious)

Zuko is 16 (c'mon people!).

Okay, now the part with the unknown ages.

Sokka is 14. When you watch Bato of the Water Tribe, Bato said that Hakota and the other men left before he was old enough to go ice dodging-at 14. If Hakoda and the other men left 2 years ago (as said in the longer version of Katara's intro), and you put that with the scene when Hakoda was leaving in Sokka's flashback in Bato of the Water Tribe, you just might come to the conclusion that Sokka is 14. Some people say that he's 15, but in ATLA, they generally round off the ages. Have you noticed that all of the other ages are rounded off? Aang, Toph, Zuko, and the theory for Katara-14. So, to come to a conclusion, Sokka is 14.

Katara is either 12, 13, or 14. As stated earlier, Sokka is either 14 or 15. But the odds are on the 14 side for Sokka. As we know, Katara is a little younger than Sokka. So, she is either 12 or 13. Since she is physically taller and more mature than Toph, she is either 13 or 14, and Sokka is either 14 or 15.

I come to argue that Katara is not 14, she is 13.




Guess what the whole point of this arguement is?

She might be 14, she might be 40. This was just a logical expanation to try and prove my ship...

17?! That dosen't make any sense. He was 13 when Ozai gave him his scar. He said so himself. In "The invasion" ..Challenged a 13 year old boy to a Agni-kai" And he said he've been hunting the avatar for three years after that, so, his 16.

this reeks of fail.
Katara=14 is just as obvious as Toph=12, and Sokka=15. there is no such thing as a 13-year-old with Katara's maturity level.

(and Zuko's and Aang's ages are the most obvious)
either way, in my opinion, they needed to all be about 3-4 years older. would have made them even more whoop-a**. (which, for Toph, I'm not sure is possible, since she was the most whoop-a** character ever ANYWAYS)

Katara is NOT 13! I mean zuko is like 17 years old...
Sokka is way older than 14 !! He is about 16 years old.
Katara is 15 (Wasn't she 12 when here father left?) So that means katara was 14 when she met Aang. And she is about 15 now.
