well, Spongebob is so stupid that anything it does makes fun of itself...
and incidentally, it's one of the few shows that I will actually sit down and watch...
I don't even watch avatar like that, except a few certain episodes (AKA the good ones, which does not include the finale)
of course, watching TV shows has never been something I've done a lot.
