this chapter might be a filler but hope it's enjoyable
“YUE”! I yelled. I sat up quickly. I could feel the sweat run down my face. I tried to stand on my feet but was greeted with a sharp pain in my abdomen. I moved my head around as if I could see where I was. Maybe I was captured? Or maybe I was…dead. Where was I? All of the sudden I heard a rustling…like tree branches moving. Was I in a forest? “Your awake, thank goodness”. Yue said. I sat up with my mouth open. “What’s going on? Where…where am I”? I question. Yue didn’t answer right away. Once again I tried to stand on my feet but I still couldn’t because the pain was still holding me down. “How are you feeling”? Yue asked. I shook my head as if I was trying to wake up from a dizzy spell. “Are we back in the forest”? I asked. “We’re still close to the docks…you were impaled in the stomach”. Yue said. I put my hands on my head. “What happened? Did we find the avatar”? I asked. Yue didn’t respond.
“Are you kidding”? Yue said surprised. “Well did we or not”? I asked. “You mean to tell me you don’t remember what happened”? Yue said with a bit of anger in her voice. I was trying hard to remember what had happened but my mind was drawing blanks. I tilted my head up as if I was looking at Yue. “How…how could you have forgotten so quickly”? Yue said. She got up and started to walk away. I used whatever strength I had in my body to stand on my feet and walk over to her. “Yue…I…I honestly don’t remember what happened. The last thing I remember was punching that psycho in the face and that’s it”. I said. “Kaio”. She said. I gasped a bit. “How did…” I said. “You told me your name before you fell unconscious…after you were in The Avatar State”. She said softly. I felt like a moose walrus hit me. I was speechless after hearing what Yue had just said to me. “Why didn’t you tell me you were the avatar”? She asked.
I turned away from Yue. She didn’t say anything nor did I. I was still trying to piece together in my mind if what she was telling me the truth. I put my hands over my eyes, “where…where is my eye cover”! I said franticly. “Kaio why”. Yue said. I didn’t respond and continued to feel the ground with my feet in search of my eye cover. “What happened to my eye cover; my eyes”. I said. “They are fine. I’ve seen you without the cover”. Yue said. I slowly stopped looking and stood still. “I don’t understand what the big secret was about Kaio, I mean if you were or are the avatar you should have said something. We would have had to waste so much time”. Yue said. I walked away from Yue again. I could hear her footsteps following me. “Kaio just tell me why didn’t you say anything from before”. She said. “I DIDN’T KNOW OK! I didn’t know and I still don’t even know. I don’t know what’s going on or what happened. I can’t remember anything the only thing I remember is my name ok”! I yelled. “Kaio”. Yue said with concern in her voice. I sat down on the ground and put my head down. Yue slowly approached me and put her hand on my shoulder. “I’m just some lonely wonderer look for who he is and what his purpose in life is. There’s no way I could ever be the avatar”. I said sadly. Yue didn’t respond.
I heard Yue get up and walk away. I tilted my head up as if I was looking at the sky. Yue came back to where I was sitting and said “well let’s stay here again for the night. We can talk about what we should do in the morning”. I put my head into my hands and thought to myself. Before I knew it I was fast asleep. “Morning”. Yue said. I stretched my arms and yawned a good morning back at Yue. “Here, have some water”. She said. Yue handed me a cup of water. “Taste…salty”. I said. “Sorry it’s from the ocean”. She said. I stopped drinking the water after hearing that. We both sat silently underneath the morning sun. “What should we do”? I asked. “What do you mean”? Yue asked. “Well if what you were telling me is true…then should I learn some bending? I mean isn’t that what the avatar’s duty is”? I said. Yue giggled a bit. “Well I’m sure we don’t need to go to the Water Tribe anymore seeing as you probably know how to water bend”. I grunted and sat silently. “What’s wrong”? Yue asked. “Well…” I said with an uncertain tone. Yue didn’t respond. “Well the thing is…what ever happened to be brought back some memories but not many and I can tell you this…I’m not from any water tribe and I can’t bend water…or any element for that matter”. I said. “But how? The next avatar is from one of the water tribes…you must be a water bender”. She said sternly. “I’m not…I can’t bend; really and truly I don’t see how I could be the avatar. Furthermore, if I was the avatar and I’m not saying I am, it would be hard for me to learn to bend”. I said. “How would it be hard”? Yue asked. “Can’t see remember”. I said as I waved my hand over my eyes. We both sat silently again. “I think I have the best teacher for you to learn from”. Yue said. I raised my head up. “She would be perfect for you and she’s blind”. Yue said with excitement. “Who are you talking about”? I asked. “The greatest earth bender who ever lived, my mother Toph Be fong”.
