I kept mine in the past for the ease of it. We know what the world is like, and we know how it'll end up. And mine doesn't affect the world at large, so there's no chance of any conflicting facts.

mine kinda did...
and I read back and noticced a few minor flaw...
this one though takes place about 1300 years after that though, so the war is merely a memory... and because Sanaki and Kai can exist before, during or after the canon storyline, I am seriously considering putting them in somehow...

yeah...
it's gonna go into some detail about who each character is and a little about their background...
Kimiko almost seems stereotypical (scar-faced, family killed, tragic past) at first, but luckily she's not the main character....
of course, before the incident, she was a loudmouth who would talk back to everyone...
after the incident, it made her incredibly shy and afraid to speak to anyone.
