I joined about a year ago, but after only a few posts I kinda stopped coming here, but when I heard about the hacking I decided to become active and support you guys.
I guess I should introduce myself again.
I'm 17 years old and I'm a huge fan of Avatar. I'm from The Netherlands and I enjoy watching anime's, scifi shows and I spend a lot of my free time playing video games.
When I'm not doing anything (which is quite often) I like to philosophize (I also tend to philosophize when I am doing something).

Wait...wait...wait! What exactly happened? I just found out two seconds ago the site was hacked, but what exactly happened? (I haven't been able to get on the site recently because there were problems with my computer). Would someone be kind enough to explain to me what happened?

yeah, i have also been told that there was no actual hacking involved. they took over admins account but there was no actual hacking from what i have heard. is that correct?

I don't know,I do think that tera253 AND admin both did wrong somewhere,but I don't know...I believe admin's story the most but I just want to get on without having loads of fuss about two forums...whats done is done,and I like this site because a09 has n00bs who don't listen to anyone.
P.S.I hate tera253 just as much as you people do.

Welcome back then ;D,if you need info on what happened,check your mail,admins sent everyone a mail regarding what happened and Tera's put up his side of the story on his site.Anyway admins story makes more sense.Keep posting we need all the activity we need! |

I did take a look at tera's forum and it does look a lot like a10. Tera's explanation does seem to clear things up and I can draw 3 conclusions out of them that make sense: tera's a complete moron, tera's an a$$hole or both. If his explanation is true he would still be too irresponsible to be a mod here anyways.
Either way it all comes down to the fact that everyone directly involved made some mistakes (mainly jumping to conclusions) which resulted in confusion which lead to chaos on the forum.
In the end I think we should leave any business with tera and a09 up to the staff members, since everyone directly involved seems to be a staff member or at least was one at the time.

both sides made mistakes,no doubt about that,one thing im certain of though,is that tera calls everyone irresponsible,while it is he who is being irresponsible,and so is blue,because blue is missusing his power as a moderator and tera253,well...we all know by now...

I only saw Admin's explanation. It makes sense...
I'm confused because I though Tera was a nice person, and now all you guys and Admin are saying he's a bastard, I don't know anything by now.
Anyway, welcome back rde. I hope you can help these guys.

if anyone would like my opinion, you probably won't, but anyway: both tera and admin were wrong. maligning people and faking your death are not smart ideas at all (one of those "do not try this at home" type things). BUT the thing is, if someone does something wrong, do you just start automatically hating them? no, usually you'd give them another chance. people make mistakes. its called being human. honestly, i hate conflict. so if this place is becoming just a "lets bash anyone who left the site" sort of place, then its not somewhere that i belong. so, my apologies to rde for taking up his welcome thread with my opinions.
welcome to a10, rde. sorry i won't get to know you well since i most likely won't be frequenting this place quite often. but enjoy yourself here theres been a lot of good memories here. makes me feel all nostalgic.. |

I think both sites did wrong,I spoke to tera through PM in chatango.I gave him another chance but he got all pissed off and started calling me a b!tch.Thats NOT being human

I do agree that tera deserves another chance, but that doesn't mean he didn't do anything wrong and what he did is nigh unforgivable. giving someone another chance means giving him the opportunity to show us that he can be a good guy and he's already blown that chance (several times apparently). The things he did just aren't the things a responsible mod does.
