They didn't change the title. When you watch it on TV, it still says Avatar: the Last Airbender. Where did you get this information from?

i think it's to prevent any future continuity errors i mean let's say there are more airbenders then the title the last airbender will look pretty stupid also the story itself revolves around aang defeating ozai and bringing peace to the world so not much is said on him being the last airbender, it may appear when it comes to aang's backstory but other then that it's more about aang in the present instead of aang's past

The show's name is still Avatar: the Last Airbender. If you check TV guide (Western Air Temple is on TV tonight), it still says Avatar: the Last airbender. I don't know where they got the information from, but either it was invalid, or they failed to elaborate.

ah... good times. anyways, I believe that that is actually the title they gave Avatar: the Last airbender in Europe or something.
Wikipedia might answer some of it.
