i know this isn't technically from the same show, however it is from the same universe. Amon, the main antagonist in The Legend of Korra, is a non-bender who leads the anti-bending revolt in Republic City. But no one knows who he is.
I personally believe he is Bumi. Now before you guys all go "Bumi is dead or Bumi was an earthbending master or he was a friend to the avatar that makes no sense" im talking about a different Bumi. Aang and Katara had three children: Kya, the eldest and only daughter who turned out to be a waterbender like her mother; Tenzin, the youngest child and who turned out to be an airbender like his father; and lastly, Bumi the middle child who turned out not to be a bender at all.
Now if I were Bumi, I'd be angry. My mother being a waterbending master and my father being the Avatar, my sister being a waterbender and my brother being a airbender thus reviving the art, I'd feel like I wasn't important. Katara and Kya were probably always together and Aang with Tenzin. I mean Bumi has every reason to start a revolt.
