Sakura vs. Katara

Sakura is the power-hitting medical ninja from Naruto.

I say that it's a difficult choice, unless Katara uses bloodbending.
They are both very well-rounded fighters;
Katara speacializing in long distance,
Sakura with amazing power hand to hand.

lets not forget one very big part of a fight like this, Healing ability, both of them can heal but if any1 who has watch naruto time skip (idk how 2 spell the word, sorry) knows that sakura's healing ability is way better than katara. This is not counting katara having the water from the north pole.

I give it to sakura, and because i strongly dislike her but because of sakura's healing powers, the only way i can see katrara wining is by draging the fight on but sakura's plaining well most likely prevent that from happening

If you think about it they both use Chakra, but Sakura's abilities rely on the amount of chakra she has, while Katara's abilities are imobilized when her chakra/pressure points are disabled, so I have to say she has a chance in this fight.

That's a good point too. But Sakura has been trained well enough so she can calcutate her advantages and take advantage of them. She's smart(or at least smarter than Katara) and that will be her advantage.

Very true, but Katara isn't a complete idiot either. She's intelligent and powerful enough to pull the weapon needed from her surroundings as well as calculate Sakura's abilities to be able to keep her at a distance. Also, Katara only needs water to heal herself and attack, which she has learned to be able to get from anywhere, but Sakura has to use her actual Life Force (chakra) which is a limmited supply.

true, katara's battle mind isn't the worst, but can she really heal as well as sakura, as far as healing goes, its unlimited uses of near useless (trouble with a burn) healing verse a limited amount of powerful, sometimes life safe saving. Distance is as tenoko and i have said, is katara's main battle strategy to win, but but sakura doesn't need to get close to attack either, sakura can, as shown, punch the ground and cause the ground to crack. Sakura also has faced more impressive water type moves than katara can dish out. Sakura above all does have other moves, Bite, cut her hair off, lol. But my next point is experience vs inexperience. Has sakura seen moves silmir to katara and better, yes. Has katara seen anything like a replacement with a log, a woman run up a tree, a woman bite another, a person who actual thinks a fight through, no. Granted, sakura's punch to the ground looks a lot like earth bending. Basicly, what i am saying is, sakura has fought better than katara. Katara hasn't, well maybe zuko, but still.

I'm not saying your wrong Tenoko(because this whole thread is about opinions), but I think that Sakura has the upperhand and would beat Katara to a pulp. But, that's just me.

I'm not saying Sakura wouldn't beat Katara to a pulp, I'm just saying that it would take a while and that Katara would be able to get some good shots in too.

But think for a sec. Sakura has never seen anything like water bending before. The big advantage in jutsu is that you can see it happening. Katara can just fling out her hand and a ice spike will go flying. Also, Sakura has a limited use of chakra and will end up being hard breathed and tired. That will slow her mind down and cause her to not think quickly. Katara can immidetly see Sakuras power punch and think "Ok, earth bending!".

But her power punch isn't Earth Bending. And yes, I've stated Sakura's limited Chakra vs. Katara's seemingly unlimited. The thing is though, Sakura is a trained fighter, Katara is not.
