I'd rather not say since there's a lot of explaining to do, and a difference between my biological parents and my real parents--if that makes any sense.

hmmm... might as well say the abridged version of my story since I already let one of the cats out of the bag...
my parents divorced when I was about 3 or 4, and in 1995 (I was 4 1/2) my mom remarried. since then, they have both been incredibly happy, and I have grown up to know him as my true father, and since then we have been a very close-knit family.
As for my biological dad, his fate is a little worse, and about 6 years ago, he went to a better place.
I'll stop there. I've taken too much of your time...

Mine are.
I can't really tell if it was a decision that was that was beneficial to my dad.
My mom is happy and engaged, but my dad, who I live with, is still a little unhappy.
They divorced when I was 10, and now it's 6 years later and I guess things are better for both.
But divorce is a funny thing, sometimes it's for the best because both spouses aren't happy, or sometimes it's only beneficial to one of them, leaving the other, like my dad, to try and find a new relationship.

Mine have been divorced for 4 years now. It was a rare occasion where things turned out better because of it. It was hard to understand at first but the more I learned about the situation, the better I understood. My dad just got re-married this past Sept. and I couldn't be happier with my new step-mom.
