Just out of curiosity, why does Katara always have her hair loopies in, even when her braid comes undone? I know it's part of her character, but it confuses me. It doesn't seem like anyone could always have something like that and keep it absolutely perfect all the time.

That is one of the many mysteries that the cartoon universe holds.....

I liked Katara's hair down since the beginning of Book 3. I don't like those loops. xD

in comic the hair is always perfect!(ok not always)
I like her hair!
but sometimes it's even too perfect! (like zuko at his date in basing sei ^^)

Katara's hair-loopy things are in the top 5 "Coolest Things Ever" list.
BTW, I'm making a flash vid with Katara as one of the characters, and even when her hair gets undone there, she retains her little loopy things for that selfsame reason.
then again...
anyways, Katara's hair-loopy things indicate her life force. should she lose them, she will die.

I liked Katara's hair in season 1 and 2 and even in 3 and I think the hair loopies are something of her characteristics

I think the hair loopies are there to help kids identify her and to show that she is from the Water Tribe.. If you look, Hama when she was young, Gran Gran, and Katara's mother all had hair loopies.
Its not just Katara. Its a water tribe thing

i agree with you fournation93 it is a "waterbending thing" if you look at her tribe Most of them have that it just shows people what they are.

hey guys i no why her hair loopies are up all the time! if you watch the western air temple episode you see that she has a bun sort of thing in when her hair is down thats what the hair loopies are attached to. i cant explain it that well jus look at katara's hair when she turns her back in The Western Air Temple. seriously watch the episode and youll get wat i mean...

I like her hair down, and the loops things are just her thing like Zuko's scar Aangs arrow toph's eyes...and sokka's....um boomerang? So, I guess they make her keep it for that reason.
