The Hunt of the Sorrowful.
V'icternus cut through the forest, in hot pursuit of his prey.
His parents had just been killed, his house destroyed, and he was covered in his parents blood.
He was hunting down his parents killers, the sword his father gave him glittering in his hand, reflecting the sunset.
Then, he saw them up ahead, the had stopped to refill their water jerkins, for they were Waterbenders.
He counted six of them, though two had injuries obtained from his father.
He sprung out at them, taking them by surprise while they were focused on the water, and killed one of them before the others could react.
Unfortunately, now he was surrounded, and he no longer had the advantage of surprise.
Two of the Waterbenders moved toward him, and he began swinging his blade with small, precise cuts.
They managed to avoid his blade, and moved away so as too attack him with their Bending.
As they all moved back, keeping their eyes one him, he pulled a rock out of the ground and hurled it at one of them, for he was an Earthbender as well.
It was frozen in a block of ice by one of the other Waterbenders, who then sprung forward, forming an ice sword.
Their blades clashed, and the Waterbender began to push him back toward his friends.
But then V'icternus ducked under one of his his attacks, and struck him in the leg, severing it completely.
He immediately jumped at the closest of his opponents, and began hacking and slashing while the Waterbender blocked his blows with powerful water blasts.
The others had begun to move in again to try to overwhelm him so he began to randomly twirl his blade, to deter them.
At the same time, he flipped up a rock with his feet, and with a spinning kick, hurled it toward one of the Waterbenders, who was so busy avoiding the blade, that it hit him in the gut and slammed him into a tree.
Now there were only three opponents remaining, and two of them were injured.
V'icternus knew he could win this battle, so he immediately charged at the only uninjured Waterbender, but he was expecting this, and hit him sideways with a massive funnel of water.
He was viciously slammed into a tree, and broke three of the ribs on his left side.
While on the ground, he sent a fault line at the feet of the Waterbender that had done this.
It caught the Waterbenders foot, and tripped him.
V'icternus jumped up, quite painfully, and ran at the fallen Waterbender, sword pointed at his chest.
The Waterbender rolled to avoid the stab, but V'icternus suddenly swept his blade sideways and severed his head.
The other two Waterbenders were injured, one had a broken right arm, while the others left leg was next to useless.
He ran at the one with the broken arm, swinging wildly, but the Waterbender used his left hand to throw three ice spikes he had made at him.
Two just missed him, but one punctured his stomach, and he fell to the ground, while his sword went flying out of his hands.
The two Waterbenders moved in on him, and the one with the wounded leg stood over him and prepared a large spike to stab straight through him.
Suddenly, V'icternus punched the Waterbender in the leg, and he dropped the ice spike. It landed right next to V'icternus, and he picked it up and stabbed the Waterbender in the side of the chest.
He stood up, but the final Waterbender had picked up V'icternus' blade, and attacked him with it.
As he had just stood, he could do nothing but try to dodge.
But he was not fast enough, and the blade cut him over the right eye, right down the cheek.
Luckily, the blade had missed the eye itself, but he still could not see out of it, for the blood.
He fell to the ground yet again, and was cut across the right side of his body.
He lay there, breathing heavily, and tried to thing of something, but nothing came.
The Waterbender prepared the final blow, holding the sword high in his left hand.
As the blade came down, V'icternus smashed a rock on the Waterbenders foot, and, as he dropped the sword, grabbed it out of the air and lodged it deep in the Waterbenders gut.
He looked around, to ensure no others had survived, then, when he saw that they were dead, he collapsed and began sobbing uncontrollably, mourning the loss of his parents, and how empty this victory was compared to his loss...
Honestly, what do you think?
