okay, I take back what I said about the badass-ness factor in the last installment. This one takes the cake. Maybe I'm just stupid, but I don't understand this series. (that was my vote. I obviously know WHO it is about, but I don't really get WHAT this series is about) You're a good writer, but I find this series confusing and hard to believe, and I don't think it's because I'm reading them out of order as much as it is that each new chapter sort of brings up its own set of questions that leave me wondering. So... is he like the Avatar or something? seriously... he CANNOT be beaten.

You wanna see him get beaten, eh? Just read a few more of 'em, then you'll see some serious beating of him.

Generally, if I let that happen, he kinda would have died, and I'm trying to avoid that (For now, at any rate).
Still, it's not like he's ever gone against anyone who was actually good. And I decided to make him extremely lucky, at least when it comes to staying alive...

strange.
I swear I've heard that before (but not from you; from someone else)
but defeat doesn't always mean death. It just makes a character much more believable rather than giving him injuries that can just be shrugged off in the next scene.

Well, next time he fights someone who wont kill him, we'll see how that works out. My general plan is for the one time he looses to be the last time he does, cause he dies. It might even be a random unimporant death, you never know...

I don't recall ever inviting people to read these because they were fun...
In fact, it's a pretty sad and dramatic story. Not fun at all.

no, $hit, sherlock.
but usually people don't read things unless they're fun to read. THAT was what I was implying when I said it "took the fun out of it". I meant: it took the fun out of reading it.
